Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaLow yielding gnarly old vine grenache from the Barossa shows its concentration and depth of fruit here through the mulberry, kirsch and menthol blackberry ripeness and fine, ample persistent peppery spice. French oak framing is now well absorbed into the dense fruit, with smoothed tannins providing a natural, easy structure to prop up all this richness. Lingering mustard seed and some heat on the finish.
