Elias Mora Toro 2010
Toro, Castilla-Leon, SpainToro tempranillo is always a touch more rustic that it Rioja kin. In this case the nose is earthy, with hints of barnyard and black cherry/raspberry fruit. The attack is soft with chalky dusty tannins and more red fruit and gentle tempranillo tannins. Is Toro starting to shed its rusticity? Full malolactic and 100 percent new American oak have help to tame the rough edges. Try this with grilled lamb or whole roasted chicken.Tasted: 18 April 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $20.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
