Schieferkopf Riesling Lieu dit Buehl 2010
Alsace, FranceSchieferkopf is a joint venture project involving Michel Chapoutier and four friends. Lieu-Dit Buehl is a 1.2ha site facing south and planted over blue schist. The wine is fermented and matured for more than 15 months in large casks using natural yeasts. Look for a medium yellow colour (a la Alsace riesling) with a bright, tropical fruit aromas and flavours with weight, power and a refreshing salty minerality. The wine is made exactly the same as Fels to allow one to experience the two terroirs.Tasted: 05 March 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $55.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Pacific Wine & Spirits |
