Lazio, ItalySeven years of age gives this Riserva all the weight and texture it needs to carry its considerably smoky peppery, black cherry fruit flavours and aromas. The attack is slightly astringent or Italian 'dry' but then the jammy fruit flecked with black cherry, olives and liquorice root flavours balance off the finish.
