Laughing Stock Vineyards Viognier +09/10 2012

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIt's year four for this viognier made with Osoyoos fruit grown at Perfect Hedge Vineyard. The grapes were whole cluster pressed and fermented in 60 per cent stainless steel, 25 percent French oak and 15 percent concrete eggs. Then further aged in a combination of stainless steel, oak and concrete. Expect a soft round delicate entry with citrus green apple and melon aromas. The mid-palate is fairly fat with green apple and honeyed peach notes with just a hint of bitterness. The acidity is fine. Try this with halibut and a fresh fruit salsa.Tasted: 02 January 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
