Poggio Salvi di Montalcino Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2004

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalySavoury, tobacco, saddle leather, light barnyard, cherry, liquorice, prune, meaty, earthy aromas. Dry, fresh, elegant, tight palate with light, lean tannins. Cherry jam, earthy, ash, smoky herb, meaty, licorice, coffee grind and saddle leather flavours. Seems a bit chunky and astringent at the moment so try with beef sauces or grilled steak to smooth out the edges. Or cellar for two to five years.Tasted: 01 December 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
