Poggio Salvi di Montalcino Brunello di Montalcino 2006

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalySpicy, blackberry, barnyard, leather, curry, ash, meaty, liquorice aromas. Dry, fresh, juicy, suave and elegant palate. Black cherry, pepper, leather, ash, orange peel, earthy, savoury flavours. Very well balanced with good finesse for current drinking. Not big but very attractive styling for food. Solid value for Brunello. The regular Brunello is 100 percent sangiovese grosso grown on southwest-facing slopes sitting at 320 to 480 meters above sea level. The wine spends 30 months in Slavonian oak and 6 months more in bottle before release.Tasted: 01 December 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
