Penedès, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainCalcari is a rare, organic, single varietal Spanish White made from the xarelolo grape. The vines, 40-plus years in age, grow in loam soils with excellent water retention. The ferment is 21 days the wine is pressed off and aged on its lees for six months with daily battonage. The nose and palate fresh and stylish with pear and salty, seawater notes with fine density and length and minerality. A perfect wine for seafood.
