Neal Family Vineyards Fifteen Forty Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Howell Mountain, Napa Valley, California, United StatesFifteen Forty Vineyard faces East on Howell Mountain at 1365 feet. Streep slopes and low yields are the story of this organically farmed site. The nose is rich and intense with offering surprisingly youthful cedar, black fruits, toasted oak and vanilla aromas the attack is firm the tannins rich and dusty with more mountain style blackberry and cassis flavours. There is a sense of restraint and elegance to help offset the big, warm, intense long finish. Big but a delicious New World style. The '05 is 100 percent Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon fruit that spends 28 months in 100 percent new oak.Tasted: 07 December 2013Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $120.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
