Champagne Krug Rosé 27ème Édition Brut NV
Champagne, FranceRosé is back in favour but as you might expect none are built like Krug. The colour is pale, the requisite persistent fizz is tiny. The nose explosively fruity with bits of wild strawberries, puff pastry and white flowers. The palate is fresh and spicy with screamingly dry red fruit flavours woven into its enticing creamy textures as Krug would say" surpassing the notion of vintage. The blend fluctuates between 20-30% chardonnay, 15-20% pinot meunier and 50-55% pinot noir. Krug released its first rosé in 1983, 140 years after they opened for business.
