Frescobaldi di Castiglioni 2010

Tuscany, ItalyTenuta di Castiglioni is the oldest Frescobaldi Estate, with roots that date back to 1032. The altitude of the 115-hectare vineyard is 200 meters and the mix in 2010 is 50/30/10/10 mix of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and sangiovese. On the nose red fruits dominate with cherries, strawberries and plums. The palate is warm and round with more plummy fruit, spice and cocoa. Wild boar/pork would be a fine match.Tasted: 29 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
