Summerhill Pyramid Winery Cabernets 2009
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Cabernets are sauvignon and franc in a 70/30 mix. Not all the fruit is organic but it what isn't is in transition. The wine is surprisingly fresh given its 24+ months on oak. Look for bright cherry/blackcurrant fruits with a smooth, spicy mid-palate and a dressing of toasted oak. Still youthful but showing promise that it will blossom after another year or two in bottle.
