Serendipity Syrah Private Reserve 2009

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaExpect a huge red wine here. Big sweet powerful fruit with a fair dollop of alcohol that tends to override most of the wine. Big warm and round on entry it has a wild, peppery black cherry, meaty mid-palate and a sweet spicy persistent fruity finish. It's softer than you might think but it may be due to the alcohol. It's a less fleshy than the showy cab franc but would be fun to have with lamb. Promising but needs some better oak integration to shine.Tasted: 11 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
