Minervois, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceSpicy, prune, black cherry, coffee, peppery, smoky, meaty, chocolate and black raspberry aromas. Ripe, fresh, juicy, round palate. Coffee, chocolate, black plum peppery, floral meaty, savoury, liquorice flavours. A bit warm and tannic but very good fruit to age 2-4 years. The blend is 70/30 syrah/carignan that are 50-120 years old and the wine gets about 30 percent new oak. Good value.Tasted: 29 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
