Gérard Bertrand Grand Terroir La Clape Blanc 2012
Coteaux du Languedoc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceWhite flower, spicy, honey, quince, green olive, thyme and vanilla aromas, very unusual. Dry, fresh, juicy and delicate creamy palate with pear, herbal, lees, honey, vanilla, quince and slate flavours. Needs a year or two in bottle to fully come out. Very elegant. Love the mix of 40/20/40 grenache, marsanne/bourboulenc, the latter grown over limestone. White meats, turkey, seafood are all matches.Tasted: 29 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $26.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Pacific Wine and Spirits |
