False Bay Shiraz 2011
Western Cape, South AfricaI don't mind a bit of sweetness if the wine is balanced and fresh. This is a fine mix of spicy, berry/cherry fruit with easy-sipping, soft tannins throughout. There's a bit of smoke and earth but otherwise this is a tasty, good value red for the casual sipper. Hamburgers, pizza and meaty appetizers all work here. Good value. The grapes are sourced in the Swartland and Stellenbosch regions and are aged in large wooden vats for a minimum six months.Tasted: 16 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $15.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Summit Fine Wines |
