Chateau Pichon Comtesse de Lalande 2009
Pauillac, Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceAnother smoky leather Brettanomyces spicy cool cedar, tobacco, floral nose from Bordeaux. Quite a meaty/animal mid-palate with earthy, peppery, spicy, black olive, liquorice flavours. Dry leafy firm tannic finish that will require a decade to come around if the Brett remains under control. Not a favourite. Disappointing in this class of wine.
