Chateau Leoville Barton 2009

St. Julien, Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceBig smoky toasted oak nose (must be Bordeaux ) with pencil lead savoury red fruits and a touch of black cherry. The palate is more mineral more earthy but with excellent finesse and style but with no shortage of fine grained tannins. Again this need a decade if not two to blossom into a true St Julien. Excellent potential but in tough competing with the top wines at this stage. 77/22.5/0.5 CS/M/CF.
