Chateau Cos Labory 2010
St. Estèphe, Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceAt $75 Cos Labory looks like a bargain for Bordeaux even if it isn't much better than the best Okanagan red blends. The nose here is a sappy peppery, blackberry, black cherry affair with vanilla, violet aromas. Round, dry full and showing good ripeness it is awash in fine grained tannin. More peppery, coffee, tobacco, blackberry, prune, black raspberry fruit marks the palate with bits of liquorice, vanilla and grilled meat flavours. A bit simple and coarse for Bordeaux but with fine fruit and concentration to balance its youthful astringent structure. Age this five to ten years for best result.Tasted: 05 October 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $75.00 | 750ml |
