Chateau Certain de May 2010
Pomerol, Libourne, Bordeaux, FranceCertan de May vineyard is planted to merlot 70%, cabernet franc 25% and cabernet sauvignon 5% that average about 45 years of age. Expect a generous tobacco, cedar, earthy, black plum nose with black cherry, rooty, olive and vanilla aromas. Full, round, dense but elegant with good concentration and suave tannins it is both ripe and juicy and packed full of five-spice, tobacco, vanilla, coffee, olive, green tea, plum, cedar, black cherry, meaty flavours. Super balance that makes this suave with depth and finesse, a fine effort and consistent in style. Certan de May ages well and this will need a decade top come around to its full glory. It offers good value for the vintage.Tasted: 05 October 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $175.00 | 750ml |
