Ben Marco Torrontes 2012
Paraje Altamira, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaA new style in Torrontés from a cooler Altamira site (not Salta) that is partially barrel fermented in several types of French oak, then battonage-d, for four months. Big honey, vanilla, lees, nutty, peach, mango, floral, ginger aromas. Round, dry, elegant, juicy but slightly soft palate. Vanilla, creamy lees, apricot, ginger, spice, lemon and mango flavours. Offers a bit more complexity and length but will need a year to integrate.Tasted: 15 September 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:ON | $18.00 | 750ml | |
