Mira Salinas 2009

Alicante, Valencia and Murcia, SpainBodega Sierra Salinas is a CastaƱo family project in the DO Alicante. The goal is to make serious wine in the Sierra Salina Mountains. The Mira Salinas is a rough mix of 70/20/10 monastrell, cabernet sauvignon and garnacha. The nose is restrained offering blue/blackberry aromas with a dusting of spice and toast. The palate is substantial with rich, soft, fruity notes mixed with earth and cocoa dust. The finish is firm and dry with affair bit of tannin to yet disperse. This needs another five to eight years to mature in the bottle.Tasted: 05 August 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
