Angove Long Row Sauvignon Blanc 2013
South Australia, AustraliaWe often focus too much on red wines from Oz and miss some delicious white offerings like this Angove's sauvignon. All Riverlands grapes (red sandy loam over limestone) are in use here. They are picked cool, at night, and coolness follows through to bottling. The nose jumps from the glass with bits of lemon lime. The attack is crisp with fresh, candied, tropical fruit flavours and ripe pineapple notes in the finish. A summer chicken salad or sushi works well here.
