Tenuta di Arceno Chianti Classico 2009
Tuscany, ItalyAmerican winemaker Lawrence Cronin has a warm, soft style that he brings to Arceno from Ed Meads and its particular attractive in such an opulent vintage as 2009. This is a big red with brooding chocolate/floral fruit year, resulting in a Chianti Classico with well-developed flavours. Liquorice, ripe black cherries spice and savoury, dried herb nuances mark the finish. Long and persistent it has flecks orange peel in the finish. Super stylish. The winery suggests pappardelle with wild boar, aged pecorino or steak Fiorentino.
