Summerhill Pyramid Winery Alive Organic Red 2010
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the first vintage of this wine that has delivered and it will be welcomed by organic fans. Summerhill is now deep in bio-dynamic viticulture and as harmony and peace comes to the vineyard it has begun to invade the wines. This blend of 50.5 percent marechal foch, 34 percent merlot and 5.5% syrah undoubtedly warm and rich but the fruit is clean and the flavours a pleasant mix of savoury/wild black fruits, spice, chocolate, leather and sweet plums. Some 24 months in French and American oak has completely smooth out an rough edges. It's should be excellent with most grilled meats and or grilled vegetables.
