Mazzei Castello Fonterutoli Chianti Classico 2008
Tuscany, ItalyBig ripe black cherry jam, plum, balsamic, chocolate, peppery, gamy, tobacco, earthy, savoury, vanilla aromas. Full, ripe, round, rich but elegant palate with some light tannins to shed and good acidity. Very peppery, licorice, resin, black cherry jam, balsamic, meaty, tobacco, leather, orange peel and coffee flavours. Still quite young but with 3-5 years, should improve and flesh out while the light but grainy tannins dissipate.Tasted: 20 July 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $70.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Renaissance Wine Merchants |
