Howling Bluff Reserve Pinot Noir 2011
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe nose is slightly reduced with strawberry jam, smoky, compost, tobacco, lees, meaty, rooty aromas. The attack is round, smooth, dry and elegant in what is a light-bodied red. Earthy, sour cherry, coffee, compost flavours mark the finish. A solid effort that needs only a bit more fruit to really sing. Give this another year in bottle to settle in. Grilled salmon anyone?Tasted: 26 July 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $35.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
