Gilbert Cellars Left Bank 2010

Wahluke Slope, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesLeft Bank (of the Columbia River) is a 53/20/14/8/5 blend of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, cabernet franc, merlot and malbec. The nose is classic new Bordelais toast and smoked oak overlaying savoury red fruit aromas. Despite some 20 months in 53% new oak barrels (80 percent French) the wine shows fine elegance and restraint among its classic northwest red fruits and black olive flavours. This will improve over the next five years in bottle.Tasted: 01 July 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
