Chateau Miraval Cote de Provence Rosé 2012
Côtes de Provence, Provence, Sud de France, FranceIt's true Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are behind this rosé but unlike most celebrity wines they have a reputable piece of dirt and even better a terrific winemaking partner in the Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape-famed family Perrin. The colour is Provencal perfection, the nose lightly floral mixed with bits of red fruits and strawberries. The flavours are similar with savoury garrigue hints of dried herbs and stony citrus notes. It finishes dry with a twist of earthy bitterness. Impressively food friendly and let's face it for $29 it should all of this and more.
