Romain Duvernay Côte Rôtie 2009
Côte Rôtie, Northern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceOpen spicy, liquorice root, meaty, gamey with hints of blackberry, tobacco, curry, saddle leather aromas. Dry, fresh, elegant but slightly lean and tight on entry with light tannins. Smoky herb, tobacco, roast meat and savoury black cherry flavours. The finish is also slightly lean and tart with some light, grippy tannins to shed.
