Chateau La Mondette 2010
Cotes de Castillon, Cotes de Bordeaux, Bordeaux, FranceLa Mondette reminds me of my youth when drinking young, regional Bordeaux was mainstream, at least before the varietal invasion. This is a typical Bordelais merlot - cabernet sauvignon blend with a restrained nose of spice and earth with just a hint of cherries. The attack is dry and firm with more spice medium intensity and a pinch of warmth in the finish. Must be served with food for best effect.Tasted: 19 May 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $16.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Red Dog |
