Altos Las Hormigas Clasico Malbec 2012
Mendoza, ArgentinaNot a lot of changes here and that's the way we like it. The Clasico Hormigas is grown at or above 800 metres on mostly low vigor soils in Lujan de Cujo and Valle de Uco. The style is all Alberto Antonini's doing - less is more. The final blend is a mix of sites kept separate and then blended to produce a fragrant red that mixes cool, smoky, red and black fruit flavours with a classic savoury Argentine streak from front to back. Silky, stylish malbec that stands out from the crowd. Tasted: 26 May 2013Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $15.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
