Schug Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Sonoma Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesThe 2008 is an 81/8/6/4/1 mix of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, syrah and malbec from Sonoma Valley aged in a mix of French, Hungarian and American oak for 24 months. Expect a minty menthol black fruit nose. On the palate the entry is tart and somewhat dry with warm spicy black fruit notes. The tannins are firm and the dryness accentuated by the acidity. Youthful and frankly a bit harsh at this point. Best with a big old grilled steak to tame the acidity and tannins.Tasted: 14 April 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $35.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Crush Imports |
