Perseus Cabernet Shiraz 2011
British Columbia, CanadaTwo cabs: sauvignon (44) and franc (13) are mixed with 43 percent shiraz. The fruit comes off vineyards in the Okanagan and Similkameen valleys. Look for a candied, peppery, raspberry/blueberry nose with bits of smoke, cedar and toasts. The attack is sweetish with liquorice flavours and some fresh acidity poking through the mid-palate, more cedar, smoke and rustic tannins in the back end. A hamburger red or consider serving it with an aged cheddar.Tasted: 07 April 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $20.00 | 750ml | winery direct or private wine stores |
