Maison Nicolas Perrin Hermitage Blanc 2010

Crozes Hermitage, Northern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThis white Hermitage is a 70/30 blend of marsanne and roussanne and is fermented in one to three year old used barriques for nine months. It gets classic battonage treatment to promote texture and richness. Expect yellow fruit aromas and five spice on the nose and creamy apple, floral, almond flavours in the mouth. The marsanne brings heft to the blend while the roussanne is the tension. A fine effort with ageing potential. Greta with veal and richer fish dishes.Tasted: 24 April 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
