Crozes Hermitage, Northern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThis is an important wine for the foundation of Maison Nicolas Perrin. It is pure syrah from the heart of the appellation. Bright peppery, kirsch, blackberry, smoky, garrigue aromas flecked with leather and smoked meat. The palate is full, round and smooth with light tannins. The flavours are a mix of bacon, sausage meat, jasmine, ginger, dried herbs, tobacco, blackberry and roast pepper flavours. A solid syrah with a forward style that should improve over the next few years.
