Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, South AfricaBig liquorice, espresso, smoked sausage, barnyard, sweaty saddle leather, cedar, tobacco, vanilla, black berry, and poultry spice aromas. Full, round, rich, slightly tart palate with light tannins. Lots of stewed prune, cassis, smoked meat, saddle leather, barnyard, resin, espresso, vanilla, roast bell pepper flavours. The wine finishes warm (alcoholic) with some acidity and volatility poking through some green tea tannins. Needs more time in bottle.
