Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe GR Carmenère is a mix of fruit from three Maipo sub-regions and a 91/9 blend of carmenère and petit verdot that spends eight months in French and American oak. The colour is inky/tar black, the nose a mix of red fruits oolong tea and spice. The palate is leafy with sweet milk chocolate and coffee notes flecked with spice and dried herbs.
