Tarapacá Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe 2011 is a fresher riper version of most of the earlier cabernets we have tasted. It's a blend of several blocks in Maipo Valley and its aged in French and American oak barrels for 16 months. Look for more floral cherry flavours flecked with tobacco and less mint or Boldo. The blend is 88/6/6 cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah. A solid steak wine that will improve for the next five years in bottle.Tasted: 19 March 2013Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
