Domaine Bousquet Reserve Malbec (Organic Grapes) 2011
Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe latest from Bousquet is a nice move back into a more serious direction. Dry, savoury black liquorice and blackberry fruit marks the nose and palate. The attack is soft and savoury with a bit of mid-palate acidity with flecks of raspberry, cedar and chocolate. The grapes are organic grown in the Alto Gualtallary, Tupungato at roughly 1200 metres above the sea level. The mix is 85% Malbec, with 5/5/5 cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah all aged in French oak for 10 months. Perfect for traditional spaghetti Bolognese.Tasted: 31 March 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $19.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
