Colomé Reserva Malbec 2009
Calchaqui Valley, Salta, North, ArgentinaColomé Reserva is made from 60 to 150-year old, pre-phylloxera vines aged 24 months in new French oak and then another year in bottle. The wine is inky dark with a bright nose of black fruits and graphite and minerality. The palate is equally electric with rich red fruits, spicy black cherries and raspberry fruit. Mostly malbec the blend contains eight percent syrah and 2 percent petit verdot. Best with grilled meats now but will hold for a decade or more.Tasted: 07 March 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $80.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - International Cellars |
