Napa Valley, California, United StatesEdge is marketed as a North Coast cab but it also contains a 9 percent syrah and 5 merlot to fill in the leaner, leafy cabernet bits. At first brush its offers up a sweet, grapey nose and flavours remind one more of zinfandel than cabernet but there is better mid-palate structure and backbone with black fruit and soft ish tannins in the finish.
