Spierhead Pursuit 2010
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSavoury, leafy, sage, tobacco, black olive, sappy cassis aromas that lead to a tart, slightly tannic, dry palate with cassis juice, smoky coffee, savoury, tobacco leaf, olive, green bean and pepper flavours. An oaky style red with green tannins that toughen up the finish. Time may help the tannin but it needs more fruit. The blend is merlot dominated at 57 per cent but the cabernet sauvignon and the cabernet franc appear to be just too tough for the merlot.Tasted: 16 January 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $22.00 | 750ml | winery direct |
