Ogier Côtes du Rhône Heritages Rouge 2011
Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceIt would appear 2011 has given Ogier another winner at this affordable price point. All the viticulture changes at Ogier are reaping rewards especially in tannin management. The nose and palate yield an attractive spicy edge with dried herbs/ garrigue, red fruits, dusty tannins with hint of milk chocolate. All the fruit is grown using the organic method but it is not certified and comes off four separate areas in the southern Rhone. A solid Rhone red that will improve in bottle over the next three to five years.Tasted: 18 January 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $18.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
