Henry's Drive Vignerons 'M' Reserve Shiraz 2008
Padthaway, South Australia, AustraliaThe Reserve Shiraz 'M" is dedicated to Kim Longbottom's husband and partner Mark who dies in 2008. The new wines are made by Rene Hirsch and seemingly a great deal of discussion and work with Kim. "M" is one hundred per cent shiraz grown on a single vineyard site owned by the family and spends 18 to 20 months in 75 per cent French oak that is 55 per cent new. The nose is a powerful expression of shiraz, the flavours big and bright with white pepper, blueberry fruit, bits of chocolate all wrapped up in a savoury Limestone Coast jacket. The textures are opulent, the fruit sweet and hedonistic.
