Chateau Léoville Poyferré 2009

St. Julien, Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FrancePeppery, spicy, rooty, barnyard, black berry, cassis, saddle leather, gamey, tobacco, menthol aromas. Rich, full, round, suave and fresh with good concentration but somewhat tannic and astringent. Peppery, coffee, cassis, black berry, spicy, tobacco leaf, vanilla, black olive, earthy, savoury flavours. Big, good concentration but fairly tannic with a long finish but finesse. Starting to close down but has lots of potential here in 7-12 years' time and more. A relative bargain for Bordeaux.Tasted: 05 December 2012Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:
