The weight and mouthfeel comes from the reserve component that fluctuates between 10 and 20 per cent each year. Look for bits of baked apple and pear with creamy, toasty notes and good acidity. The finish is dry and slightly nutty. The winery recommends salty, creamy, or nutty foods such as Caesar salad, fried calamari, oysters, or fresh sashimi and sushi.
