Cambria Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard 2011

Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County, Central Coast, California, United StatesIt is such a shame the KJ folks can't get focused to sell this wine in Canada. This is such a great little vineyard tuck into the upper reaches of the great Santa Maria Bench. This is classic Santa Barbara fruit, tropical and awash in pineapple mango and honey notes but with bright acidity, elegance and style. It's not Burgundy but it's a long way from the heavy handed California chardonnay style. Love the spice and subtle oak treatment. Try this with fresh halibut and a fruit salsa.
