Coonawarra, South Australia, AustraliaWe like the innate style of Coonawarra shiraz with its red fruits, medium weight and moderate alcohol. Wynns chose a fabulous vintage to launch its first 'Black Label' shiraz that while cool has terrific ripe fruit nuances, dense sweet tannins and mixed into its glossy, rich impressive mulberry fruit flavours. Love the restraint and complexity here. A real winner. Younger vines, gaining age on prime terra rossa spells success. The first 'Black Label shiraz was aged 13 months in new (20 percent ) and used French oak barriques and hogsheads.
