Musella Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso 2008
Verona, Veneto, ItalyMusella is a 70/20/10 blend of corvina e corvinone, rondinella and barbera that is ten to thirty years old. In 2008 the vintage was near perfect all summer and fall and the wine doesn't disappoint. It has all the earthy floral minerality you expect and even a pinch of prune but there is a freshness of ripe cherry fruit and glossy tannin that slips down effortlessly inviting you to finish the bottle. The balance is perfect and the wine is clean.
